hello everyone, I'm trying to figure out a very old machine that some of the manuals are missing.... The machine is a Mazak v15N with Fanuc 6M System. seems like I can't find a way of using the shift options on the controller. The H and D letters are on the same key and on this particular case if I press twice the option shift works but just for the D and H. Thanks |

| I presume that you're talking about the G54-G59 work offsets. That function was only available as an option in the 6M-B and later models. If you have a 6M-A, you can't even add this option. Does your control have a CRT display? If not, it will have the old LED display, which means that it's definitely a 6M-A. If it does have a CRT, turn the control on for a few minutes, then turn it off, then back on (within 10 seconds or so). The CRT will be warmed up, and should display the software series and version numbers. Software series 992, 994, 993 and 995 are all for the 6M-A. The 6M-B can be identified by the software series, and also by the fact that you can page up past 300 on the parameter page. If your parameters only go as far as 160 or so, it's an "A" model. If it's a B model, you should be able to add the option for G54-G59. |
