Hello. I have a YUASA AccuMill AM-1547 with Fanuc 3M controls. I am looking for a full list of programming codes that apply to the 3M system. I have BobCAD V22 and I’ve already noticed that BobCAD uses I & J, I can not edit I & J lines on the 3M keypad. Does anyone know what information I need in order for BobCAD to communicate to the mill properly? I have RS232 connection. Thanks |

| Even that I,J&K are missing from the keyboard, 3M will execute properly G2/3 with I,J&K center. As an alternative, you can set Bobcad's postprocessor to generate G2/3 with R. In the earlier, even DOS versions there was a communication program in the package. Set it to Even parity, 7 data bits, and depend on parmeter setting 1 or 2 stop bits, 4800 baud rate. P.S. 3M-A controls made under licence in Bulgaria had 2 patches for IJK, one was holding down PRGRM, X became I, Y-J, Z-K. Another one was to push the button 3-4 times and it changed X, 4, I, 4. Just for curiosity, I do not think someone can find such a version outside Bulgaria or neighbouring countries |

| F-BU Thanks for your help. I've got the mill communicating to my PC flawlesly using your settings! Thank You But... Now I have these issues... PS: I am using BobCAD V22 to create the program and I use Predator V7 to upload the file to my Mill. #1 - After uploading the program to the Fanuc 3M control, the user comments inside the brackets ‘( )’ disappear completely. They are there in BobCAD and they are there in Predator, I have double and triple checked all options related to comments to make sure they are not ignored or omitted... I still get no user comments... #2 - The M03 and M04 commands in the programs uploaded to the Mill do not work. I can go into MDI mode and start n stop the spindle, I can also write a simple program at the controler and the spindle codes will work. But when I upload a file from my computer the M03 and M04 codes no longer work, they are ignored... Any ideas??? Thank You Adam

| Adam, The brackets will not be seen in the control, 3M/3T strips them out in order to save memory. Remember, this control was designed around 1980, when CMOS memory was quite expensive. About M3/M4, first try to put S-code on the same line (M3 S200), second, check the door interlock. The spindle may be enabled in MDI with door open, but not in auto mode. Best regards. |

I have a machine with a Fanuc 3M also. F-bu is correct, I can't input comments either. On #2, this may be a long shot but is your post outputting an O or zero?
