Fanuc 6mb drip feed issue

I would like to know if it is possible to drip feed to this controll. I can send and recieve programs no problem but I can not figure out how to drip feed. This control is on a 1986 makino fnc 74. It does have a tape reader can you jump this out or do I need some new hardware. My other machine is newer and has a 0m control and it has a remote switch and I can drip feed to it just fine. Any help would be great .

We drip-feed Fanuc 6 controls all the time. The trick is to connect it to a computer with a BTR (Behind the Tape Reader) interface instead of RS232. We can connect a PC's parallel printer (LPT) port directly to the Fanuc 6 mother board. The cable can't be very long, but the PC near the control can be used as an editing station, and it can tie your CNC control to a network with Ethernet.

The same BTR hookup works with Fanuc 2000/3000C and 5T/5M controls as well.

You can also quote the BTR with some vendors like Memex, Omega EBR, etc. there are plenty in the market wiht good after sale service too hook to your machine.
