Question Okuma Howa 2SP 20H - Parameter issue

Have a Okuma Howa 2SP 20H with Fanuc 18T control that had an SRAM alarm. I cleared the memory so I could boot the machine up but do not have any backups for this machine.

This is a twin spindle lathe. After clearing the memory, I can't select left or right spindle and it shows HEAD1 as the active head. Normally HEAD1 is the left spindle. Manually input all parameters (from sheets in electrical panel) for the left side. every time it asked to turn off power, I did. After doing the 9000 parameters, and rebooting, it allows me to select L and R spindle but L is now HEAD2 and R is now HEAD1. All the parameters I entered for the left spindle are on HEAD1 which is now the right side. I then entered all the parameters for the R side on HEAD2 where the normally would be but the heads are mixed up.

Does anyone know what designates HEAD1 & HEAD2 to L and R?

All I have for this machine is the parameters. I don't have anything else like the keepers.

I had turned on 2 bits in keeper 17 (10000010) so that I could ready the machine but when I select the R side, it controls the left side. I'm sure I could just change the parameter for the drive numbers to get the R side to control the R side but I don't know how the HEAD1,HEAD2 will affect programming. I have no other 2SP 20H to compare to.

And suggestions?

Thanks,

Daniel

May be it's only path name setting problem. AFAIK parameter 3141 to 3147 represent first to seventh character for path name. example: 3141 for H, 3142 for E, 3143 for A, 3144 for D and 3145 for 1.
Hope it helps..
