Ok, when I write a simple program like this: G20 (TOOL - 1 OFFSET - 1) (CENTER DRILL- .25 DIA.) G0 T0101 G97 S1000 M03 G0 G54 X0. Z.25 Z.4 G99 G1 Z.5 F.01 G0 Z.25 G28 U0. W0. M05 T0100 M30 . What page, and How do I get to set the G54 position? I have went through every page I know how to get to. Is it in a parameter page or? I am getting frusterated!!! I guess I am just too used to mills BTW, this is a Miyano 6BC with 6t controll type B. |

| I have never worked on a 6 series control before so I am not sure exactly how to go through the screens and find the work coordinates. However there are 2 pretty common ways on all the Fanucs that I have worked on. There can be a "offset/settings" hard key on the control and once that is pressed it will give you the softkey options of "settings", "offsets", or "work offsets". It would be under the work offsets. There can also be just using the over arrow until you see the "offset" softkey and you have to keep pressing that to go through your work offsets or tool offset pages. The other thing to keep in mind is this is a option from Fanuc so if your machine does not have it activated you will not see them. I don't have my list here at home but I can find out when I get to work what needs to be set so you can verify you have it activated. Stevo |

| I appreciate it Steve, It looks like it is not activated. If it is not activated, what method does it use currently for positioning? I know on a mill you can use G92, if your not using a G54, etc. But on a lathe I dont know of a origin point command. |
