    M-code for Hardinge Conquest 42

Could anyone tell me if there's an M-code I need to put into the programme to enable the live-tooling milling option? I've used M51 S500 which should start the cutter-holder turning, no coolant, at 500 rpm....but nothing happens!

    Unhappy

Nope....all I got was 'invalid M-code'.....and still no gear movement in the turret. Could it be a parameter fault by any chance?

Sorry, but I don't know what else could be wrong. Best to call Hardinge. They have always been very helpful.

I do program a G0C0 in a block by ityself before machining. Can't recall if it is necessary or not. Probably is as I don't like to put anything in a program that isn't needed. Plus it goes in after the tool and RPM has been called up, so that would have no affect on your problem.

Your spindle code is correct. I have the M23 programmed after the spindle start up, so that shouldn't be affecting you either. Only thing I can think of is that the C-axis parameter isn't turned on. That would be rather unusual given that the machine has C-axis capability. Did you buy the machine new or used. If used, maybe somebody is playing games.
