    Unhappy Double arm stuck

Hello, everyone. I recently purchased my first CNC machine, a 1995 EXCEl 810 VMC with FANUC 0m and a 24 place ATC. What a joy when I fired it up and had movement on all 3 axis! While exploring the FANUC om control, I found the last program the machine ran (I think). With the "dry run" button engaged, I started this program. It appears to be a simple drilling program. The spindle moved into position, the double arm came out, then nothing. I didn't have any tools loaded I got an alarm, something about the machine timed out. Now, I dont know how to get the arm out of the way, and the machine will not respond unless the override is pressed. Also, the ATC functions on the control are not responsive. Did I miss a power switch? I could sure use some wisdom right now. Thanks.

    ATC Problem

if your machine ATC with electric motor then first press reset, use a open wrench to turn the motor a few turn later you will see the ATC arm start moving then continute turn motor untill arm back to home position.

if the ATC is control by hydraulic then need to fine the solenoid vale and press on the end of the coil slowly until arm back to home position.

I think your machine tool change problem may be cause by the unclamp cylinder locate on top of spindle, if they use the air over hydrulic cylinder then you should check the oil is empty or not

Thanks, Ahn. The ATC is hydraulic. First thing in the morning I'll check the fluid levels and try to feather the solenoid valves. I was hoping to fix this problem from the control box, but operating the solenoid valves makes sense. Thanks for your response, and I will post tomorrow morning with my results.
