Hello all, Basically we have a Vtec drill, running with Fanuc 18i MB we want to directly network to a laptop via ethernet. The only function we want to achieve is being able to import drilling programs from the laptop directly to the machine. Currently we write all our programming in OneCNC XR2. We run several borers and lathes via bluetooth, but they are all on a different OS. The supplier of the machine couldnt even tell us where to begin to achieve this. Are there any required programs to be able to do this? We are really stuck at step 1 here. any information would b e greatly appreciated thanks Last edited by Wheel; 01-13-2009 at 05:23 PM. | If you want to use the ethernet connection directly to the PC, you'll need a "CAT5 crossover cable". If you go through a router, you can use a plain-old CAT5 cable. In either case you'll need an FTP client, such as WSFTP running on the PC. Here's a writeup Daewoo did on setting it up. |
