looking for hitachi help

I'm looking for help. I have a Hitachi maccmatic 48v with a fanuc 6m control. It has died (won't get past not ready condition) have tried all fixes that have worked on other machines in the past and have come up blank. I have no schematics or ladder diagrams. do not even have a 6M maintenance manual. There used to be someone called 'hitachi-man', but I cannot find him. If anybody knows where he can be found or where I can locate manuals for this machine I would appreciate it.

What do you mean when you say that it won't get past the 'not ready' state? Does the machine just hold there or does the machine power trip off again? Does the machine have 'auto power off' option? I'm only going to ask this question because I have seen it before. Did you release the emergency stop?

Hi Tom, you may want to try to press the OT Release push buttom to see machine past the not ready condition?
Note: OT mean Overtravel

Do you have a "standby" butoton on the machine? If so you have to press this in order to get past the ready condition.
