    0T Power UP message (failure?)

    Hi,

On power up this morning, my Fanuc 0T control does not complete its power up procecess.

The CRT monitor shows: 0615-11 in very large characters in the middle of its screen and below that it shows: PMC: XB7A-06 NOT READY.

Yesterday the machine powered up fine and ran fine. Does anybody have any suggestions on what this means and how I can begin troubleshooting the cause?

    Thanks,

    John

See if you can view the PROGRAM or POSITION screen by pressing the buttons on the MDI panel.

If you can view these screens check the following Diagnostics (Press PARAM / DGNS button twice):
21 = 00110000 is a usual condition for emergency stop input and feedhold ok.
    121 same as above
(the other bits may be any condition as long as bit 4 is "1")

Also check the machine side +24V power supply and the fuses or non-fuse breakers.
Check overloads and any error lamps on the operators panel.

If you cannot select and view ANY screens then it is likely a control PCB failure similar to Watchdog alarm or some other atomic animal.
