I do the same on my Le Blond RMC55 once in a while, the solution at least for me is to power the machine down, remove the machine covers, and manually turn the leadscrew until it's off the limit switch, that should do it.

Turn your control off. Then, while pressing "P" and "Cancel" buttons at the same time, turn the control back on.Hold the 2 buttons in for 5 seconds or so.
You should then be able to move the X axis out of O/T once the control starts up again.

Thanks I'll try the P & cancel thing first but , the P button is a shift selection only not a direct key function.....if I need to remove the covers I'll try that too. I've had this machine 4 yrs. sence new the only problem I've had is bad wire conectors.& bad crimps everywhere..Does everyone have bad service ,only over the phone help, with new machines?????

Does this machine have a hard limit remove switch?
Most machines have a switch that bypasses the hard overtravel switches.
If it does, turn the switch on then jog off the overtravel.

Dislexia is a way of life

I'd rather feel stupid then be stupid.... My Sharp manual (not FANUC manual) has a discription for that wierd looking button called a 2nd overtravel limit switch release .HUMMMMMMM.holding this button releases the lock on traveling so I could move that table back to operating range....thanks to all for ideas , maybe I can return the favor....BKF
