Fanuc 18iMB5 assistance

Does anyone know of a user-operated, forum type website that can offer some insight into using the "Manual Guide" application on this control. We just purchased a machine that has this control, and I've not seen much info on using it so far. We have an off-line CAM system, but thought the Fanuc software might be handy at times.

I m Suleman Khosa and we have almost 50 CNC machines of Japan,Germany & Taiwan in which FANUC control was installed. I have one machine in which one problem was occured during start in early in the morning.after two to three start the machine then alarm is reset automatically and all day machine is working smoothly through out day. Then one more time occur early in the morning and reset after On/Off machine 2 to 3 times. Detail of alarm is given below.


System Alarm: 970 NMI occured in PMC LSI.

Manual of FANUC said: Replace the motherboard.

Fanuc series is 18i.

Fanuc Motherboard number is A02B-0283-B500.

Fanuc Master PCB number is A20B-8100-0661 .
That alarm is occur due to battery low because that machine is off for three years and not any power given to that machine. When we ON it after three years then its have no data. We changed its alkaline batteries and also lithium battery of motherboard and put all CNC SRAM data and CNC parameters after that machine is working properly only one week. Then its parameters are remove in one morning, we load all things and now its working properly but at morning its gave system alarm 970 and then working properly after two to three times ON. I have some wuastions from you. Please answer me.

Q1) Is it problem of backup battery?

Q2) Please give me the method of memory all clear function of FANUC.

Please reply me, because its too costly to replace motherboard.
