| You can also use a USB-RS232. Here is a link to the cable you probably want. I have not used these cables before. | USB to Serial converters can cause problems. I've tried 3 different brands and have had no luck at all with handshaking even getting the "blue screen of death" on occasion when I've interrupted a transmission. Never had a problem with a PCMCIA Serial adapters. |

| Dcouper, Thanks for the info. I have never tried the USB-RS232 cable. I have talked to a few people that have and they never had problems. It is now something to think about if my laptop takes a crap and I can't get one with the 9pin serial. Stevo |
