| Hi All I have an IKEGAI AX 15 Z Lathe with a Fanuc 6T B control - build date around 1985 - My battery backup went out and I lost all parameters. The lathe was just put into the shop and we have no copy of its parameters. I have tried to contact Ikegai thur - Actutec and SNK for an origanal copy from Japan but they had no luck getting them. Does anyone out there have a runnig IKEGAI AX 15 Z Lathe that can send me a copy of its parameters? Thanks Party O One |

| I am sure you have already checked but the MTB usually puts a hard copy of all the parameters in the power cabinet for this reason. Have you tried talking to the people that you got the machine from to see if they have every backed up the parameters? Or find out who they bought it from. Stevo |

The machine came from an auction and the company is long gone. I even tried to get them from Ikegai Japan and had no luck , but thanks for the reply. Keep the ideas coming people. Hope is what keeps me alive Party |

| Do you have the maintenance manual? If so you could step through the parameters one at a time and see if you can come up with viable entries by trial and error. There must be a lot of Ikegai lathes around. As a last resort, you could also try the cnczone.com site. Al.

| Party. I’ve used this technique when I’ve been in as much trouble as you. That’s to Google search the make and model of the machine, to find who’s got one. First Google hit. http://www.jezektool.com/facilities Decent sizable company like that aught to do parameter back ups, or have the originals still in the machine. If they take pity on you, they might even extract them for you. That should be fairly simple in a plant like that with a DNC network. There’s other that turn up in a search, even a AX20Z or AX25Z would be close enough for the bulk of the parameters. You would have to tune up axis stroke lengths etc. Regards Phil. |
