Newbie- FANUC 0-M serial communication standard

Hi Everyone,

I'm super new and not much of a CNC person, but I have been given the challenge of interfacing our existing CNC comm system (1 windows XP machine, running NC-Link, feeding 3 HAAS TM-1 mills via nulled and switched 25pin serial system) with a Vectrax mill controlled by a GE-FANUC O-M unit.

Can I simply connect the existing (nothing special, just nulled) 25 pin cables I use with the HAAS machines directly to the 25 pin port on this FANUC O-M?

Please say yes!! lol.

AS MY EXPERIENCE, THE CABLE CONFIGURATION FOR HAAS AND FANUC IS THE SAME. WE WORKED WITH THE SAME CABLE FOR BOTH CONTROLS.
