Is this a new machine to you or have you run it before?

You should have an orange or yellow button halfway down the panel to the left.
If you press that button you'll get a screen that shows you exactly what the next ATC step is and where the sub arm should be. Make sure everything matches.

I'm going to assume that your tool changer is on the outside of the machine in a cage that is more of a belt that is driven by 2 large gear type wheels. if thats the case than it may be that the encoder is loose so it's moving more than it should, and this makes it skip tools or could be some plastic teeth on the encoder wheel broke. or the encoder is just bad. If it's loose than have one guy change tools while the other moves positions for the encoder to the proper setting and keep an eye on the control panel to ensure your at the proper tool. The encoder is real sensitive so it takes time to adjust it.

    Good Luck.
