Hi gabedrummi :
i do understand you have a Fanuc O series control.
I start communication set up for same control , OT in a lathe that i work on.
First thing you need is to have your cable made you will need also the CNC communication Software.

Do you have RS-232 communications with other machines?

I have a few things on the O series control. 1 is O series 1 is OM series. I am not sure what you have for a control. This should get you going in the right direction.

If you can let me know exactly what model OM,OMC,OMD,OT,OTC I have some that are more specific to the model. They should all be about the same.

Normally it is right above the CRT on the Left side.
That number looks more like a 10 system.
OK, I just found it, it is a 0.

I just assumed you knew what control it was based on the title of the thread "Fanuc O Control".

As AL said it should be at the top left part of the control screen. It should also be inside the machine cabniet on a sticker with the serial number. I attached a PDF that should show the commone places it is mounted.

I am not that firmilar with the O series control. You say you can't view parameter 552? Is there a "Service" and "Settings" softkey? Some parameters are listed in one and not the other. Could be looking in the wrong screen.
