hi - I have a chevalier 2040 VMC with fanuc OMD control , I use One CNC professional 2000 to program , and send all files from pc to cnc - no problems. Today I had to cut 2 large internal threads and the file was too big for the cnc memory - so I tried to DNC (not done this before) and after about 220 lines I got the buffer fault - 087 I think.I tried to slow the com port as described elsewhere in this forum, but no good - so I broke the program up and uploaded as per normal and got the job done. I have more 3d stuff to do now and I would like to get this sorted - any ideas?? |

| You have to slow the baudrate in the CNC and in the PC. They have to be set to the same. That is probably why when you slow down the baudrate the CNC does not get the data. If you can send programs at 9600 you can send them at any speed below that. If you are using Port 1 it is parameters 552 or 553 depending on the IO channel? =11(9600baudrate) =10(4800) =9(2400) =8(1200) Stevo |

| I do not have a lot of experience on the OM control but this is what I got for a procedure. I am pretty sure you have to be in Estop mode. Select the MDI mode. Press the function button [DGNOS/PARAM] to display the parameter setting screen. Key in address “No.” and value “0” in the stated order, then press the [INPUTJ button; the setting parameter screen will appear. Set PWE = 1. The PWE bit allows you to make changes to your parameters. Now you should be able to go to the parameter you want and change it. Set PWE back to 0 when finished. If you never changed the parameter baudrate in the machine but you were adjusting in the PC that is why you could not send data. Stevo |

| Please also check your cable configuration, the better is: PC NC DB9 DB25 2-------------2 3-------------3 5-------------7 1] 4] 6]SHORTED 5]SHORTED 4] 6] 7]SHORTED 8]SHORTED 8] 20] Also you can connect the phisical ground of your computer to be the same in your NC. This solved my DNC problem once. Good luck. GP. |

| hi I am dinesh, to avoide buffer over flow can you just reduce the buffer rate of your PC. i tried to many machines and it was working. Also can you mail me the tool change micro programe it might be O9001 program. it will be help fule for me. Thanks |
