    Downloading Programs

I have an 18i control I know how down one program at a time and I know how down all of them at once but they are in one file programall.dat if you do them all at once. My question is how can I download all of them separately with out calling up each one and downloading them 1 at a time I can do this on My HAAS controls surely you can do it on a Fanuc.

In order to download all of the programs at on time from the CNC to the PC you should be able to hit soft key punch then type the letter O-9999 to ouput all the programs. If your 8000 and 9000 programs are locked they will not be sent. You have to change parameter 3202 bit 0 for unlocking the 8000's and bit 4 for the 9000 programs.

Stevo1 you are correct using O-9999 will download all the programs at once but it will put them in one file called Program. All what I am wanting to do is download all of them at once but under seperate file names with out calling up each one and punching them one at a time you can even use
O0001,O1000 when punching out programs and get all programs with in the range of 1 to 1000 but here agian it puts them in 1 file called Program.all
then you would have to cut and paste each program in to the seperate file names O0001,O0002 ect I would like to get the control to punch the all to seperate file names all at once. Batch Download but seperate file names.

AFAIK there is no way to get the Fanuc to output each program to a separate file when you do an O-9999 PUNCH. Some DNC programs (Predator for example) have the ability to create separate files on the fly from the Fanuc "one big file" output.

Our PC-DNC Editor and PC-DNC Plus software have a feature called "Separate files by O-numbers", so that you can send a bunch of files in from the CNC and have them saved as separate files.

If your DNC software won't do this, then I can separate them for you here. Just email the big file with all your programs to subsoft@buckeyeweb.com and I'll send you back a ZIP file with all the O-numbers saved separately.

I wrote a utility program to do this, but it needs a bit of fine-tuning before I can distribute it.

I have Dostek DNC software and like Mr. Fritz I have the ability to create seperate file names using the same function "Separate files by O-numbers". This is not a Fanuc thing it is the capability of the DNC software that you use.
