I am not firmiliar with cnccom but I have attached a PDF that shows the wiring for RS232 connection to the CNC. I get my pc ready to transmit and on the CNC go to edit then program press overarrow keys until you see the read softkey. Press read then you have a selection for All Or program. Press ALL. the machine should receive the program set up in the PC. If you are trying to send progams 8000-8999 you must unlock them with parameter 11.0 =0. If programs 9000-9999 it is parameter 2201.0 =0.

Joe did you get your PM??

We need more information. Is the machine giving an alarm? Is the software giving and alarm? Is the data going but in a different format? Does the CNC and PC just sit there?

You are correct.
The following is the procedure I used when the pc crashed and needed to change the RS-232 cable 9 pin pc(female) to 25 pin fanuc(male)
These changes are for the cable configuration I changed.So make sure you note all previous values befor changing them if this does not work you will have the original parameters.
Power up machine.
Press the left soft key to ge to the screen "SETTING SERVICE MESSAGE"
Press "SETTING" key until "SETTING(SERVICE)" appears in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Use the up arrow key to get PARAMETER #8000.
Arrow over to the right until cursor is under the bit labled "PWE".
Turn the mode switch to "MDI".
Press 1, then press "INPUT" soft key.
You will get an message on the screen.
Use the down arrow to go to PARAMETER # 0000.
Type in 00001010 and press "INPUT" soft key.
Use the up/down arrow keys to change the following parameters:
20=1
21=1
22=1
23=1

5001=3(Device type#1)
5111=1(STOP BITS)
5112=8(BAUD RATE)
5120=3(DEVICE TYPE#2)
5121=1(STOP BITS)
5122=8(BAUD RATE)

BAUD RATE VALUES
8=1200 10=4800
9=2400 11=9600

Press the "SETTING" soft key to get back to PWE bit again and change it back to 0. Hit reset to clear alarm.

Press the SETTING soft key until you get the "SETTING(HANDY)" screen
it should appear as:
TV CHECK=0
PUNCH CODE=0
INPUT UNIT=1
INPUT DEVICE=1
OUTPUT DEVICE=1
INPUT DEVICE=1-BG EDIT-
OUTPUT DEVICE=1-BG EDIT-

After you are done pwer down and reboot.
Try to punch to the PC aslo the PC must be configured to the same BAUD rate and stop bits as the fanuc.

Joe,
Check your handy settings. Edit mode, program soft key, over arrow, handy.
Whatever device your using 1-3 set should be the same for the output device.

The program you posted does not have a program # in front of it.

Do you ready your PC before sending the program from the CNC?
