0M parts counter

I run a Mori-Seiki VK45 with fanuc 0M control but cannot reset the parts counter. In MDI mode I press P and the counter falshes but I cannot input any number. Is this possible?

Might be PWE required, possibly parameter 219 for OM-C/D series

Yep that zeros the counter. I wondered if it can be preset, I should have made that clearer. Sorry.

Can you elaborate please. I've seen PWE on this and other Fanuc controllers, what does it do? I remeber having an unrelated problem a while ago and I think we altered the PWE setting to overcome it.

PWE is Parameter Write Enable. Allows you to change parameters. ALM will flash while it's set to 1.
