    Fanuc 15M skip signal

    Hey All,
I am new to the forum but have used the board a few times in the past,
However... I can't find any discussion about the problem I have now.

I have a very old mori MH40 with a 15M control on it. The company I work for wants a renishaw laser tool detect installed on it, and I am trying to scare up information about turning on the skip signal on this machine.

Fanuc tells me I need to call mori for the 9000 parameter and mori tells me I need to call i need to call fanuc to get it because it requires an option board to be installed on that controll.

Any info to clear this up would be greatly appreciated.

The standard low speed skip is most likely there, it is a dedicated PMC input. This normally does not need an option turned on or option board.
It is a bit slower as it has to go through the PMC to the CNC, if using a really slow final approach, it is probably fast enough for most applications.
If you want high speed skip there is a 9000 parameter plus you need the board which has a few other features on it.
The Honda plug on the option board has I believe either 6 or 8 high speed inputs, these are divided in two lots for the 15TT.
I can PM you the number of the option board etc.

    Thanks al,
I talked to renishaw and they said for a tool laser I can use the low speed skip and I wont have to worry about the option.

    Thanks for the info.
