Coordinate system adjustment UCS | | Newbie here, as you will soon be able to tell. No chips yet, still learning
I have a 0i MC control and I have generated code from the cam program.
I set the UCS to match the VMC which has the zero at the upper right side of the table. The z axis zero is about 400mm above the table on the VMC.
In the cam program, the zero is the top surface of the stock.
After I load the program, I would like to put a tool in the machine and adjust the z axis zero to the surface of the stock, and also make small corrrections to the x and y axis to match the true position of the stock.
Can you point me in the right direction as to how I do this?
I have the Fanuc manual, but it is difficult to understand. Is there an aftermarket book for the Fanuc controller?
I have the small b/w screen on the 0i mc. I can guess what some of the abbreviations are, but it would help me remember if I knew what the other ones stood for. I can't find it in the manual. Is there a table somewhere for the abbreviations showing the full word and/or function?
THANKS! |
