Need Help!- Drip feed mode with Fanuc OMA

Hello Everybody,

I am Visu, a new member of the CNCzone forum.
I need help with Fanuc OMA control
I bought a Leadwell VMC with Fanuc OMA control. I am able to send and recieve fixed memory part programs from PC to CNC and vice-versa. I am unable to operate the drip feed mode
G127.5 is not listed in the ladder logic and there is no switch for tape mode.
Is it possible to enable the drip feed mode by altering the PMC

As far as I know, you cannot drip feed an OM-A control. I have the same control and asked the same thing 5 years ago and was told it was not capable of drip feeding without spending a huge amount of money for an upgrade. My .02.

The 0M-A will not drip-feed. When Fanuc introduced the 0M-B, they added a bit on the I/O interface called "DNCI". If the machine tool builder puts some logic in the ladder to turn on the DNCI bit, then you're able to run in drip-feed mode. The 0M-A never had this bit, so there's no chance of making it work, even if you can edit the ladder.

If you had a 0M-B or 0M-C without a TAPE mode on the mode select switch, it would be possible to add the function by editing the ladder.
