hello i have a special problem for everybody here and i hope can somebody tell me if i can do something or not. on one horizontal center the perpendicularity between two axes Y and Z i can not change mechanicaly and i have 0.10 on 500mm so i hope maybe from parameters on fanuc 18m i can change this, other words i want when the machine goes on the Y axis to go also on the Z axis to compensate the 0.10 that i have on the vertical position. so if can somebody can help me it will be a challenge for me. anyone? |

hello my mistake i did not tell everything so: the machine is VCENTER H630 from VICTOR TAICHUNG and the y and z axis are on the same bed and most important there is no possibility to change accuracy because between the bed oh y axis and the slide from z axis is if y6ou know:TURCIT B and under are some closing plates so i think if you want to chenge accuracy you have to rise the column(mean Y axis)and change the turcit.Under the machine i have 13 pedals(legs) if you think i can dofrom legs of the machine you'r wrong. because when you move the legs ,you have a stone triangle on the table of x axis, you have 0 on the clock on the Y axis and you sy ok i done it,but the problem is that you make wrong the z and the x axis so you make one and you do wrong anotherbecause the bed of the machine is a T profile you can see pictures at: http://victor.taiwansource.com/cnc-m...hmc/vc1000.htm i hope an answer from you best regrads |

| This is the same configeration as the toyoda mills which have 12 leveling pads On these machine you have to bring service because the have a sequence to level the machine and then after they level they come back the next day and do it the same---we have 130 hmc toyoda in one plant and still get them to come level them They have equipment they put on the b axis to help them with it--i would pay the money and start there |

| hello again ok i understand what you mean but oyu have to think logicaly: when you have two axes perpendicular to make it on 90 degrees between you have to move only one to make it 90 but because of turcite from under the bed of the y axis you can not move the Y to make it 90 with the Z axis. when you move the legs you can get 0 on the clock between Y and X axis but you have to think that you move from the legs 2 axis at the same time ,i mean you move Y AND Z axis because Y is on the Z bed rooling so now you will get wrong Z with X and it will be not on the same plan(paralel plan). other words you can put also a triangle stone on the slide of the Y and a clock on the spindel and move up and down and you will see the difference between Y and Z axis ,9i mean its not on 90 degrees(i have 0.1 on 500 mm and is too much) i hope you will follow the link that i gave up and you will see how it is made it this machine. anyone suggestions?-----i hope |

| I understand what your saying but the wrong leveling sequence can twist the mahine easily .250mm------but i have also saw this problem ---Expertly level the machine with the proper sequence making z parellel to b and if it has not corrected it you need to bring in the machine builders and re square the y axis rails to b |

| Perhaps you need a square instead of a triangle. Aligning a machine like that is not for a novice. Is the machine new or used. Fanuc does have an option called "straightness compensation". You can use this to make up for mechanical shortcomings in the machine. I use a granite square for these alignments I have also used a cylindrical square. make sure you rotate you B 180 and check again to verify your pallet is not crooked. I have seen where you must reshim the cones just a little to correct this. Even the most stubborn machines I have always been able to align with one exception where I had to use straightness comp. (non worn out machines). It takes patience and more thinking than working. |
