I purchased an old ( late 80s ?) NEF 480 Lathe. It has a dead i/o board. will not power up. when I powered up the machine, the power section ( main resistors/diodes etc where power comes in) got very hot- the main resistor (white ceramic) was glowing :-( - I would like to get the machine working in it's original form but will consider updating the controls. Any one up for a challenge? Willling to hire a tech to come in an do an evaluation. I'm in Los Angeles... |
