DC servo voltage question

Hi Friends,

I have purchased a 1979 3axis Shizoka mill with a Fanuc 5 series controller a few months back. I am trying to find out what the voltage could be for the DC servos or how to find out.

Any ideas??

What model Motors?
Most of these were rated around 2000rpm.
so If you turn the armature over at a fixed known rpm by external means , e.g. on the bench with a AC motor etc.
Measure the generated voltage on the armature leads for this rpm and then calculate for 2000. This will be the minimum voltage required to achieve 2krpm.

Look at the servo transformer, It has the voltage marked on the transformer, normally 90vac or 120vac

A precaution here is, whether they are SCR full wave or SCR half wave controlled.
If FW, then it is the ph to ph voltage, if HW, then it is the voltage from phase to star neutral.

I don't know the model of them. There are no identification tags. My first project is to get the machine off of the trailer and into the garage. Both of these options will be explored, soon.
