    Relative coordinate display

What do you use this screen for?
I thought about using it for measuring on the machine but it affects the tool length offset.

I use it for measuring centre lines, centres on circles and setting tool lengths amongst others. I set the display to 0 where I want to measure from and use it just like a digital readout.

I did zero the Z in relative to measure the depth of a pocket, but when I went to the tool length offset it incorporates the Z from Relative menu.I set Z from absolute.
Any ideas on what I should be doing differently?

I have zeroed Z in Relative many times and it has never affected tool length.

Setting the tool length after zeroing relative does affect my control, Oi.

I set tool length by pushing 'Z' 'zero' 'input'.
I should have said it affects it the way I set tool length offset
    Thanks
