    ECOSTAR-2 WITH FANUC OT-MODEL A

    ECOSTAR
    FRIENDS,

WE HAVE ONE ECOSTAR -2 WITH FANUC OT-MODEL A CONTROLLER.

THE TURRET POSITION IS SENSED BY TWO PROXIMITIES. ONE PROXIMITY AS MAIN COUNTER AND THE OTHER AS SUB COUNTER.

AFTER SOME MECHANICAL WORK/REPAIR IN THE TURRET WE ARE GETTING THE FOLLOWING ALARMS.

    TURRET INDEX

    DGN472,DGN 482.

WHEN I CHECKED THE DGN 472 AND DGN 482 THERE ARE SOME DISCRIPENCIES RELATING TO THE COUNTS WHEN THE TURRET IS INDEXED MANUALLY.

MY REQUEST IS HOW DO I SET THE BITS FOR TOOL POSITION NO 1.

    THANKS AND REGARDS,
    CHANDRU

Check the position in the turret, then write the value of the tool positioned at that moment in diagnos. no. 472 and 482, both must be the same. This should solve the problem.

    Good luck.

    Thanks Friends

The customer has replced one proximity with PNP-NO and the other with NPN-NO resulting in mismatching. When I do checked the DGN472 and DGN 482 both were differing corresponding to the tool no. Atlast the problem is fixed.

    Thanks for your timely help.

    Thanks
    CHANDRU
