pin 3 ---------------------- pin 3
pin 5 ---------------------- pin 7
pin 7 ---------------------- pin 5
pin 6 ----
pin 8 ---- <-- jumper these 3 together
pin 20 ---
The software:
DNC software is available almost anywhere (some good, some bad) If using Windows on your PC and yours isn't working, download our 30-day trial copy of PC-DNC Editor. Just click here to download:

The parameters :
Most fanucs come from the factory set for 4800 baud and 2 stop-bits. You can try setting the PC-DNC Editor to that first and see if it works. If not, write down parameters 100-103 and post them on this forum. We'll tell you how to set the PC-DNC Editor to match.
Setting the PC-DNC Editor is easy. Open the Editor, click on the "I/O" menu, then "Configure IO device", then set the baudrate to 4800 and the stop-bits to "2". All other default settings are OK for a Fanuc. Click APPLY or OK when done changing the settings.
To send the file to the Fanuc, first open it in the Editor (Click "File", then "Open", then select your file). Then, click the "DNC" toolbar button, then click the "Wait for Xon" button. The PC is now ready to send.
On the Fanuc, select EDIT mode, turn off the memory protect key switch, press these function keys:
PROG (displays your files)
Press the Right-most function key to display more menus
Press the READ key
Press the EXEC key to begin reading data.
When done, you may have to press the STOP key
If you get any alarms, let us know what they are.
