Hi; I'm running a Toyoda F550A machining center with a Fanuc 15-M controller. Every couple of minutes the display screen goes blank and I have to hit one of the buttons to bring it back up. I assume this is a screen saver mode, but I haven't been able to find any info on how to adjust or disable it. Can anyone shed some light on it for me? |

jlong58 - You need to change the nc parameter #16 to a 0. This parameter is the "Screen Saver Start Time" and if it has a value of 5, that equals 5 minutes. Changing the parameter to 0 will disable the screen saver. Good Luck. |

| Thanks for the reply. I checked parameter 16 and it already appears to be set at 0. I was going to try to put a value in to see if it acted differently, but I couldn't figure out how to enable PWE. This is the first time I have tried to change a parameter on this controller. I don't have a manual for it, so I am somewhat in the dark. |

PWE Parameter Write Enable can be set in MDI Manual data input mode or in emergency stop. If you have an operators panel, hit the offset button until PWE is at the top of the page. then set it to 1. You should pop up an error code " PWE enabled". Then change the parameter you want to try. |
