    I have a fanuc magnetic sensor A57l-0001-0037.
How is this connected or does anyone have a wiring diagram?
It is connected to a Macome 32n .This is the last hurdle on the refitting of my mazak mill.Any input would be helpfull.

Is this a general proximity sensor or is it the spindle orient?
Most proximities on the Mazak were/are 3 wire source type.
Are you changing the Mazak control?
Also there is usually a manuf part number on it, for general I/O Proximity sensors they were often Balluff.

This sensor is used for the spindle orientate. The Fanuc magnetic sensor
    has 7 wires in/out.
The machine is getting a new control a Fagor 8055.The original Fanuc 7m
    is long gone.

Are you using the original fanuc spindle controller?
Proximity type sensors were often used before more sophisticated AC spindle controls were implemented.
Most spindles now have an encoder on the final shaft (or motor if 1:1) for rigid tapping, constant feed etc, so the Z pulse in this encoder is used for orient.
These type usually orient for tool change much faster than the older magnetic sensor type orient spindle system.
If you are going with a different spindle controller, it may be worth checking this option out with the Fagor control.

    orient sensor

I am having trouble finding a new sensor. We mechanically broke ours. It has the key word macome and lbo and c1730. I use a mits freqrol fr-se. I think the controller needs a + - 10 volt signal. The magnet I use is c1730-06 The preamp is c1730-01. The entire kit is available from mits for $1400.00

    magnetic sensor

The information you're looking for can be found in the back of a Fanuc 10M maintenance manual. It shows the proper setup for both components. You will have a magnet that is mounted to the spindle and a pickup unit. The pickup unit feeds the signal back into an amplifier. From there it goes to the orientation card. It is very important that the magnet and sensor are mounted properly. The only way to verify this is by using an osciliscope. The procedure is in the Fanuc manual.

If you need a replacement I have a new one. Send me an email. I'm not sure what the rules are regarding selling items in this forum.

This crushed sensor is on my Okk pcv-40. Medas M86, freqrol mod fr-se 7.5. Everything was working until we mechanically smashed the sensor. Will the sensor you have work on it? Bob

    magnetic sensor

What I have is a new sensor part number A57L-0001-0037.
If that is what you were using before then it will work.

The sensor we removed did not have any numbers on it. The cable had 7 wires in it. I have the frequol manual that tells how and where to install and set-up.

    fanuc mangentic sensor

The wave forms you faxed to me look the same as the fanuc sensor. They are probably the same. Let me know if you want to use it.
