Hi guys, I have been trying to list down and update the current FANUC lathe and mill models but unable to find much information about it...So your expert advice is much appreciated... In order of the years that come out. CNC LATHE: Fanuc 3T, 5T, 6T, 10T, 0T, 15T.... (now I am lost from here.. and OT does have different version like OT version A, B, C) then OT-i CNC MILL: Fanuc 3M, 6M, 11M, OM, 15/16/18M, 21M.....(again I am lost and I believe OM has different version A/B/C as well as 21i).... Any expert advice information? Thanks |

| Bob, Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. Now it seems that the Model Number is not in sequencetial order??? You have for example LATHE: 5T, 7T, 6T, 3T, 10T, 11T, 15T, 0T) (I have never seen 7T before..so not sure if it is even existed.... Mostly I have seen are the 3T, 6T, and 11T |

| The 3T/3M came out at about the same time as the 6T/6M and the 9M. These were all "sister" controls based on the 8086 microprocessor. The 3 was a low-end control using CMOS memory, and it had limited capabilities. The 6T/6M was the "workhorse" control for lathes and mills, and it had magnetic bubble memory. The 9M was the high-end version of the 16-bit control that had more axis capability for mills with parallel axes, etc. The next generation was the 10/11/12 and 15 series. These were all 32 bit processors. The 10 had CMOS memory, the 11 had bubble memory, and the 12 and 15 had more axis capability (sound familiar?) The 0T and 0M came a bit later (not much). The 0 control started out as a real "bare-bones" control for simple lathes and mills. It was 32 bit, and it replaced the 3T/3M at the low end of the spectrum. The 0T/0M went through several generations (0T/M-A, B, C, and now D), and I think is still in production today. The 16/18/21 controls came next, then the latest stuff. Ever hear of a Fanuc model with the number "4" in it? No? The reason is that the number "4" is unlucky in Japan. Kind of like our number 13. |
