Hi, I have changed the PC that was connected to the CNC (RS 232), and now it is impossible to transmit programs to the CNC. I tried changing parameters (baudrate, parity, etc.) but continues without transfering. I can send programs from the CNC to the PC, but not from the PC to the CNC. I tried also, changing PC's, wire. It gives me no alarm or errors, just don´t receive. If someone can help... Thank you, |

| If you can send data to the PC, but not the other way, your baudrate setting is correct. Your cable is probably OK too, but it's possible that you have a bad serial port on your new PC. Be sure to have your DNC software send a Line-Feed character (LF) at the end of each block, and put a percent sign at the beginning and at the end of your file. Your memory protect key switch should be turned off as alconatech mentioned, and you must be in EDIT mode on the CNC. The Fanuc control should show a "LSK" symbol on the screen. If LSK turns off, then the control is reading valid data. If it stays on as the PC is sending the data, the CNC is either not receiving any data, or it's not receiving any Line-Feed (LF) characters at the end of each block. Sometimes, a Fanuc control will read the entire file, but it won't get a percent sign (%) at the end. When that happens, the program will not pop up on the screen until you press the RESET button. If that happens, be sure to add a percent sign at the end of your file and try again. |
