    Help with integer values

Could someone help me clarify the values to use in canned cycles, eg: G76 Q,R etc, I'm not sure how many places to move the decimal point, and some info on the web appears to conflict

I'll probably be using both imperial and metric at some stage.

So, for example, could you give me the integer amounts for the following,

    Metric
    0.05mm
    0.1mm
    0.25mm
    1.0mm

    Inch
    0.005"
    0.01"
    0.025"
    0.10"

    Any help much appreciated

    Clarke200,

When you remove the decimal point for the values, 1 becomes the smallest increment of the machine. For most machines the smallest increment in metric is .001 and in inch is .0001.

    Metric
    0.05mm becomes 50
    0.1mm becomes 100
    0.25mm becomes 250
    1.0mm becomes 1000

    Inch
    0.005" becomes 50
    0.01" becomes 100
    0.025" becomes 250
    0.10" becomes 1000

    Hope this helps you out.

    JK
