| I just purchased an Okuma 511V with a Fanuc 18 M control, when we hooked it all up, we got an error "AL17 Magazine Servo Unit Battery Alarm" or something like that, so we went ahead and got a new battery, problem solved. Then we had the 77 alarm for misalignment. We rotated it and reset the alarm. Now we were getting ready to make a tool change and the magazine is roughly out of alignment by 3/4 of an inch or an inch, in between 2 of the tools. How do I go about re-aligning the magazine? I don't want to try a change and have it get even more screwed up. Any ideas? Or anyone know an OKUMA tech/dealer in Southern california? |

| Used, we were able to get past that problem, but now we are getting AL30, which is something to do with the arm i think. What happens now is we can get the magazine to rotate and the pot to go up and down, but the arm never makes the change, if we do a manual step with M181, 180, the arm will do it just fine though, and then if we do it that way, it asks Check Spindle pot and tool # data ok? but I don't know how to say "yes" or whatever to the alarm...driving me nuts! |

I am not familiar with the Okuma, but most OEM's require that you re-input your tool data after any manual intervention. On some other machines it is accessed through the "custom" screen, by depressing the custom hard key. Then tell it what tool is in the spindle and waiting pot. I hope this helps you out! RRL |
