Manual for Fanuc 18-M ???

Hello all,

I recently acquired an older machine with a Fanuc 18-M controller in it. Of course it didn't have any manuals with it, so now I'm trying to track them down.

In the Google searching I have done so far, they seem to have every other manual out there except this one! I can find hardly any mention of this series at all. Is it just a sub-series of something more common? Is there another, more general manual that I can get by with?

Fanuc 16/18 are all the same family. What you need to be aware of id that the 18/16 came in 3 flavors. in your case 18-MA, 18-MB, and 18-MC

Thank you for the reply! The front of the controller only says "FANUC Series 18-M". How do you find out which it is?

The controller is in the main control cabinet. There is a sticker on the side of the controller. (Right side) It will be displayed there. Or post the part number of the controller.

NOPE, Need to look where the drives are. It's yellow with lots of cables

Found it! Looks like I have 18-MB. I'm tracking down PDF's of the various manuals now. Thank you for your help! I don't suppose you know where I can search for a manual for the Ikegai TV4 Mill, do you? My attempts at contact with them and the companies that supposedly service them haven't turned up much. Thanks again!
