Question GE Fanuc 18i-MB: Memory Card Error 0030

    Hi Gents,

Short story version: Inserted Card, completely shorted out panel, power up again, reload sram, reads memory card fine, powered out machine, power up the next day, Memory Card Error 0030. Op manual has no record of a memory card error 0030.

Planning to box up unit and mail into GE Fanuc for evaluation and repair.

Any other last ditch solutions/experiments welcome!!

    Fire Away!!!!
    Thanks!!!

Are you using a Compact Flash card?

    Yes: Compact Flash.

Also ordered the ribbon cable that attaches to the card adapter yesterday. Hope it works!

Hey Thanks! I guess I have an older manual.

    My manual:

    B-63534EN/01

I have tried formatting and erasing from the 18i unit too.

    Correct manual

That is the same manual I have, but I was looking in the maintenance manual B-63525EN/02. I can just look through them all faster because I downloaded the CD with all the operator, parameter, maintenance as well as servo motor, servo amplifier, and spindle motor manuals. If you contact GE FANUC you could probably get the CD for about $60.00.

I've been looking for 18i Model A, B and C manuals on PDF. Fortunately the net brought me the Model A books in PDF but I still would like the B and C model manuals

I particularly would like the maintenance manual for the Model 18iMB / 18iTB with the list of modules. GFZ or B-63525EN or maybe its 63527EN

I'm also looking for the manual GFTE-598-EN and GFTE-589-EN too.
