Default FANUC System 11M - No Bubble

Hi, having an issue with our Matsuura MC-1500V4
Machine was in operation and had an abrupt memory error, no previous indication of any issues.
Upon restarting the machine Bubble Initialize and Bubble Preparation show No Bubble
Bought a Tulip board as a replacement for the BMU assuming it was faulty but still have the same problem
Main board shows O on the 7 segment LED and is stuck in IPL mode.
Holding 7 & 9 on startup to attempt an initialization of the BMU shows No Bubble as well

BMU was getting good power on the 5V rail, Tulip board has LED on indicating power to the board.

Any advice on where to start looking for the actual cause of the fault, it appears there is no communication between the memory board and the rest of the system.

    Thanks in Advance

    Hi .
Thank you for purchasing our product.
Your problem is likely a defective motherboard. It seems not to recognise the BMU i.d.
Were the +15V, -15V and +24V checked on the motherboard?
    Which motherboard do you have?

    Thanks for your reply,
The lines have all been checked when I get the opportunity I'll recheck.
The main board is an A16B-1010-0050.

How is the BMU identified by the main board?
I see a large number of 7400 series chips around the BMU connector is there any value in trying to trace a fault or is it likely that replacement is my only option.

Without the board schematic it's not practical.
The software looks at the C1, C2 and B256 signals.
I will see if I can suggest chips to replace. Be careful when working on the boards, they are multi-layer.

Don't suppose anyone is going to fall on photocopier with the schematics in their hands.

If you can suggest anything that would be great otherwise I'll look for a replacement board.

    Sourced a replacement board,
Can anyone tell me the procedure for swapping the boards over, do I need to swap the ROM chips as i'm unsure of what machine this came out of?
Currently the new board fails to boot and comes up with an error 9 on the 7 segment.

    TIA

Wow, just noticed the chips have had their serial numbers sanded off.
I'm worried now I've been ripped off, there are 4x 40pin DIP chips and 2x Square Fanuc chips that have the numbers removed.
Are these machine specific and should I attempt swapping them over from the original board to the replacement board?

Don't worry for now about these chips: they are 'standard'.
Are the boards transferred from the old to the new MB? Did the new MB come with boards plugged into it?

    Boards were all transferred over,
    DIP switches were duplicated.
Nothing comes up on the screen.
Switched back to the original master board and machine boots back up with the same error as originally reported.

"DIP switches were duplicated." Are you referring to the jumpers on the bottom left row? Check the BMU Free Mode switch position (Top right)
    Check powersupply voltages on MB.

Replacement main board was faulty, returned the board and got a functional one.
Machine is back up and running
    Thanks for your help
