Default 0i model giving occasional sys_alm019

    Hi,

I'm new to the forum, and I'm just learning about CNCs. We've got a Fanuc 0i-TD. Occasionally, it will shutdown with an error screen saying "SYS_ALM019 Illegal Instruction Program Exception" then "Main Board(CPU)" with a bunch of stack information following. We've checked our maintenance manual, and can't find details for a sys_alm019. All of the sys_alm information seems to start at 400.

Any ideas what sys_alm019 may be or which manual may have details about this? As we troubleshoot, I'll add more information.

Thanks to anyone who has any insight here!

If the machine is under warranty I would make sure to contact Fanuc and get it recorded and maybe have service come out. Back up the cnc if you can too.

Probably a loose connection however I would agree with cincyice take a full back up of the machine SRAM

Thanks, cincyice and mbservice. Sorry for the delayed response. I'm in the Houston area, and we've been a little busy lately. 8(

Unfortunately, no, it is not something we can work out under warranty, but we can back it up and check for any loose connections.

There is so much documentation for these models. It's really surprising that I can't find anything about this SYS_ALM019.

    Thank you both, again.
