you can buy only the encoder
you can buy only the encoder
Make sure it is oriented right, there is a alignment mark to ensure the commutation is right, on some there are three possible positions for the encoder.

Thank you for your reply.
Is there any instructions of how to change the encoder.
I could only remove the three screws which hold the encoder to the motor body. The encoder shaft is somehow attached to the motor shaft i can't figure out how?
Any help would be appreciated.
There is a metric Allen head screw in the centre that has to be removed,
Then It may need a good pull to unseat it off the shaft.

I have a 5S in the shop I am converting to BLDC and the original encoder had a 5mm Allen Head screw in the centre.
Has anyone worked on it or tried to remove the Allen screw or has tried drilling it out ? Or?

I don't know, could be, but i look inside the hole and could not find anything wrong. Anyway is there a way to remove the broken encoder somehow? What if i drill the hole all the way down will this release the encoder? Is there a drawing of how is this attached to the motor shaft?
I almost looks like the Allen bolt is snapped off, if so the encoder should pull off?
You could try drilling it but if the head is off it should make no difference, if you drill make sure it is less than 5mm
