PC to Fanuc 21T

I've been doing some searching on this forum, but can't seem to find an answer....

What is the best way to connect a PC to a Fanuc 21T controller??

My lathe has a 25 pin male connector on the back. I'm thinking use a USB to 25 pin female cable? Is there a special cable for this, or a typical "printer" style cable?

I have seen people have issues using the USB to serial adapters. Some seem to work better than others. I recommend that you stick with a PC that uses a real serial port. Here are the pin-outs that you requested. DOT NOT YOU A PRINTER CABLE AS YOU WILL TAKE OUT THE SERIAL PORT.

i use from long time the serial to usb cable with adaptor

you need an adaptor from 25 pins to 9 pins that you have to open and rearrange the wires like the document.
