Connect Raspberry Pi to Fanuc series 31i cnc controller to JOG X axis
Hi,
I am new to CNC Technology.
Me and my friends are working on a project with an intention to send commands from Raspberry Pi to a Fanuc series 31i cnc controller.
Our Goal is as follows:
1) Connect Raspberry Pi to the Controller.
2) Send a command to select an Axis(X,Y or Z) to move
3) Send Command to set the increment limit i.e . 1x, 10x or 100X
4) Lastly Send Pulse via Raspberry Pi to actually move the selected Axis.
Our Second goal is:
1) Read the inputs from a CNC handy operator panel i.e. CNC pendant from One Raspberry Pi And send the signals to other raspberry pi
2) The main input we have to read is from the Manual Pulse Generator Wheel.
3) On the other Raspberry Pi we have to take the inputs from first Raspberry Pi and feed it to the Fanuc series 31i cnc controller.
4) This means we also have to generate the same pulse at he Controller side as that was generated by the MPG.
Our Main motive is to make a system which makes the CNC Pendent Wireless using only Raspberry Pi.
