Default AMADA PEGA 357 communication problem DNC5 with CNC Fanuc 04 PC

    Hello everyone,

I have problem to transfer file form my PC(DNC5) to machine(Amada Fanuc 04PC). Check cable everything looks fine. I think my machine loose parametars data , but I do not have my original parametars and do not know how to insert new one and which one is for communication between CNC and PC , if someone have same machine please just take picture of this parametars or write it down ... Or if you have any suggesstion I am willing to try.

I also try to change COM 1 , COM 2 port, change configuration in DNC , but nothing .....

Machine : AMADA PEGA 237 FANUC 04 PC year: 1994

    BR !

What baud rate and stop bits are you running on PC side?

    baud rate : 1200
    parity : even
    data bits: 7
    stop bits: 1

Is there option to check this parametars on machine ?

On set up page select SIO 3 That will change param 340 & 341 to 3.
That tells control to look at param 312 for communication.
Set 312 to match your baud and stop bits
set 312 00000111 this is 1 stop bit, 1200 baud
Of course you need proper config cable.

Not sure length of your cable, I typically run 9600 baud. which woule be 00001010

When I set to SIO3 , it change 340 to 3 but 341 still stay 1. Then I change 341 manually to 3 and set up parametar 312 to 00000111, but when try to prepare machine to READ , it automaticly display error HAND SHAKE ERROR ! , so this wont work.....

You have to change both input device & output device on set up page = SIO 3
Yes you can also go to 340 & 341 and set them to 3
340 is for input to Control
341 is for output from Control
    1. Do you have proper config cable?
    2. Was DNC working prior?
    3. What led up to DNC not working? New Pc? New Install? Thunder storm? etc

I think it was voltage drop ...

Voltage drop in shop? did you loose all parameters? Usually CRT/MDI board goes bad. Plugs into master board. Maybe part # A02B-0086-C052

Regarding "lost parameters" on a Fanuc control, there are three ways I know they "go away":
    1) Operator started playing where he/she shouldn't have been.
    2) Fanuc service guy had to repair something, sometimes parameters get deleted depending on what service was performed.
    3) Batteries are dead and someone shut off the machine OR changed batteries while power was off on the machine.

Too late now, however, be mindful that parameters are often like the "Magic smoke" in electrical devices, once you let them out, you can't fetch them and stuff them back in from thin air - Make backups.

Ahh, that is one I have never run across, however, I could see that being a problem as well.

That shouldn't lose the parameters; only programs.

On a 04PC, I have experienced it many times. I would guess your next logical question would be what kind of experience I have. I worked for Amada 14yrs, and another 15 doing the same deal under a different umbrella. While you say it shouldnt, thats fine but I can tell you it does happen.

AMADAJOE, in my experience, interrupting a EDITING operation 'should' only cause a 101 alarm; the actual reality may be different.
I was not going to question your experience.
