    Exclamation Please Help!!

I am working on a Mori Seiki MC-1624 with a Fanuc control O-M and a 6059 spindle drive.
My issue is the timing on the M3 and the M4. I have been trying to adjust the timing on the spindle drive (f10 and f11) but cannot see a difference. I am using a tachometer to read the spindle speed as I adjust. It looks like the M3 is 50 RPM faster than the M4. (This is causing taps to break.) What am I missing? Is there a parameter that I can adjust instead of the spindle drive itself?

    No idea.
Use a floating tap holder. It would accommodate some mismatch.

I was able to fix the issue by adjusting the spindle drive. I was at first only making small adjustments thinking it was going to be touchy but it turns the timing was so far off I had to make a major adjustment. I am still not sure why the timing is off.
