Hi all. hope this is the right forum to post this..
was hoping i could find some help.
Just got an old "Harrison Alpha 330 plus" lathe with a Fanuc 21 - TB controller for the shop. On firing it up the old CRT screen was on the frits. Got a new lcd replacement (yay). While i was trying to diagnose the problem i found the Fanuc control box loose with no ground and the main circuit board for the machine loose as well. after tightening everything up, replacing the ground, checking the batt, and pulling and cleaning the ram, im getting a "910 RAM PARITY : (4N)"
do i need to reset the ram and parameters? if so how?
do i need to replace the software?
or did i brick the machine when i puled the battery and or the board when i was re attaching them?
You will have to clear the control by turning the control ON while pressing the . and - buttons; then reload all parameters.
If you don't have a copy of the parameters you will have to get these from someone with the same or similar machine.
thanks for asking.
she's up and running!
to get to this point though there are too many things for me to describe here. *wipes sweat from brow
although i have come to the realization that with the limited fanuc controller i am unable to write any multi cut ops. the only way is through the alphalink cam software that didn't make it to us with the machine.
so if any of you out there would want to part with a copy...? that would be superb, and i could get this old harrison singing again.
