    Default Servo IPM alarm 449

    Hello,
we have Mori Seiki SL-153SY with Fanuc 18i.
In mornings after power on there is a servo alarm 449 (IPM alarm) on Z or on Z and A axes
(on united servo module alarms 8. or b.) some times.
Probably is faulty a servo amplifier A06B-6096-H207. But how to change it?
If we buy a new / repaired amplifier or change it with same type Y-B axis module (to specify fault location more precisely), absolute position data in the memory (battery 6V) maybe lost. How to prevent it or to restore the positions?

The problem is within your servo amplifier. There is no way to maintain the absolute position and the zero postion will need to be reset. I suggest contacting your local Mori Seiki distributor for a procedure to reset set the axis zero positions.
