DNC Precision - send/receive to multiple NC machines | AGG Software
Good day group!
I am new to forum use so correct me if m out of place.
I recently got an old Pratt Whitney Tapemate D with a fanuc control given to me. It worked when I disconnected it just fine but I am clueless about the software to send a program to the machine. Can anyone shed some light on this for me as to software needed? I have been told it can be a simple router program but I currently don't understand
Best Regards,
Bill

Dear,
For communication you can use ftpserver application.
What is the model number of the control? When you say "it worked when I disconnected", do you mean it communicated with a PC? If it's "old", I doubt if it will have an Ethernet connection to transfer programs (FTP), but it probably has an RS-232 (DB25-F) port.
The 6M-A and B are capable of uploading and downloading to memory with a serial port, and the 5M will only run in TAPE mode with a paper tape. Only a BTR connection will let you "drip-feed" in Tape mode with these controls. We have a software/cable kit that will work with a PC running XP or older operating systems, but newer operating systems pose many problems for BTR.
If you have an XP or older PC and want to try our kit, send me a PM.
