The maximum number (not amount) of stored programs is determined by the control brand and model, which many have options limiting the number. For Fanuc it can be as little as 63 or as high as 1000. Which control model do you have?
There would be a variety of Fanuc controls. What we would be trying to accomplish is not have any machine store more than the program it is using. Meaning you have to output/punch the program you just finish using to input/read a the new program that is needed. Is there a parameter that can control this?
I'm looking for a way to eliminate relying on each individual operator to follow guidelines. I'd rather get a parameter set so they are forced to do so.
There are a variety of controls. There are machines in operation yet that were built in 1987, I believe is the oldest. So there is everything from 1987-2017.
