    Default Need help with 10tf option parameter #9

    Trying to reload parameters on to a MTC 3 Turning Center. On my documentation for option parameter #09 the factory print out lists 28 and then it's crossed out and written in pencil as an E8. Unfortunately I don't know the difference between the two and I have not been able to find information on the option parameters for a 10 TF on Google. Can anybody shed some light on the difference between the two. And if that might have an effect on me getting too hard stops on both the X minus and X plus. Thanks

    it it easy to convert binary to hexadecimal
    let me show you

    Binary Hex
    0 0000 0
    1 0001 1
    2 0010 2
    3 0011 3
    4 0100 4
    5 0101 5
    6 0110 6
    7 0111 7
    8 1000 8
    9 1001 9
    10 1010 A
    11 1011 B
    12 1100 C
    13 1101 D
    14 1110 E
    15 1111 F

    so now you group them depending on hwta you have
    28 means 2-0010 and 8 means-1000 so your result for 28 will be 00101000
    same for E8 ,for E-1110 and 8-1000 ,the result for E8 is 11101000
    the diference between them is that bit 6 and 7 are diferent and are option parameters
    you can input it with E8 option as will be better for you.

    Thank you for your response. I was aware of the hexadecimal conversion but I didn't have any idea what the number seven and six bit difference would change. After some digging I did find the parameters and found that bit six turns on the RS 232C B and the seven bit turns on RS 232 C . The description to the option parameters were rather difficult to find. But for future reference for anybody else that might be searching for them they are on docslide. Again thanks
